Abstract

Initially, this essay attempts to clarify, as briefly as possible, God's relationship to Himself from Hegel's perspective. Firstly, for Hegel, God is, and only God, pure absolute immanence. Secondly, we demonstrate, also within Hegelian logic, that the determination of the determinacy of the immediacy of God's being is the very sameness of the determination of the determinacy of the immediacy of Dasein, when the central element there is thinking about God. And finally, thirdly, we conclude that, even superficially, God will remain eternally hidden in His pure emptiness of origin as long as Dasein, in the face of its multiple and infinite determinations, does not become involved with the determination that is pure nothingness, that is, the veiled God.
