Von Willebrand disease is the most common hereditary bleeding disorder in the world population, with an estimated prevalence of up to 2%, being more common in females. It can be divided into 3 main classifications, which are differentiated by the structural change in the von Willebrand factor, the main protein affected in this pathology, which will culminate in a wide spectrum of clinical changes. Pregnancy is a period in which several physiological changes occur, and understanding their interactions with coexisting pathologies becomes an object of study in anesthesiology. Early identification of symptoms and adequate monitoring of comorbidities are essential for surgical planning, as evidenced by the most recent publications on the subject, with the presentation of positive results in the safe conduct of anesthetic techniques that address the neuraxial and adequate control of the Post-operative bleeding, main complications related to this scope of patients
