Use of advanced technologies in the care of preterm neonates: the role of the multidisciplinary team

Neonatal care for premature infants represents a significant challenge in medicine due to the high complexity involved. This study explores the impact of advanced technologies on the treatment of these neonates, highlighting the importance of collaboration within a multidisciplinary team. The objective was to analyze how these technological innovations contribute to improving clinical outcomes and promoting healthy development in neonates. To achieve this, a systematic literature review was conducted, with data collected from scientific databases such as PubMed and Scopus, focusing on articles published between 2000 and 2024. The research included 20 articles addressing the use of advanced technologies and the integration of various professional specialties in neonatal intensive care. Results indicate that the use of mobile and educational technologies enhances care efficiency and quality, while a multidisciplinary approach is crucial for a holistic and personalized treatment. However, humanizing care remains a priority, as technology should complement rather than replace essential human interaction. The study concludes that proper integration of technologies and continuous reflection on their application are key to optimizing neonatal care and ensuring the well-being of premature infants.
