Abstract

This brief study provides an exploratory and synthetic description of visuospatial hallucinations, and in particular, of patient J.M. Our objective is to present some of their characteristics and possible developments. In this sense, this short article is presented as an explanatory case. We explore, in general terms, the definition of visuospatial psychosis and, finally, analyze a case of this psychopathology. We conclude that, of all the approaches in psychiatry regarding visuospatial hallucinations, the phenomenological approach pioneered by Karl Jaspers is the most important and coherent possible.
