The Family Health Program (PSF), currently called the Family Health Strategy (ESF), is a Brazilian public policy focused on primary healthcare, emphasizing disease prevention, health promotion, and continuous monitoring of families in their communities. This study aims to analyze the impact of PSF on population quality of life, considering physical, mental, social, and community aspects. Through an integrative literature review, analysis of official health indicators, and case studies, it was found that municipalities with higher PSF coverage present significant reductions in infant and maternal mortality, better control of chronic diseases, increased vaccination adherence, and promotion of healthy habits. Furthermore, PSF strengthens community ties and well-being perception. Despite challenges related to infrastructure, workforce distribution, and intersectoral integration, the program is essential for improving population quality of life.
