Obesity is a chronic and multifactorial condition that requires an integrated approach for its effective management. In Primary Health Care (PHC), the multidisciplinary team (EM) plays a fundamental role in offering holistic, patient-centered care. The objective of the study is to highlight the importance of MS for the management of obesity in PHC. The study was carried out through a search in the Medline/PubMed, Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS) and Cochrane Library databases. The research question and strategy used were based on the PICO model. Clinical trial studies, meta-analysis, randomized controlled trial, articles, books and documents published in English, Spanish and Portuguese in the last 5 years were included. A total of 1,003 articles were initially found. After analysis and elimination of duplicates, 329 references were analyzed by title and abstract, of which 143 were included for full reading. After this step, 132 references were excluded. In the end, 11 studies were considered eligible. The available evidence shows that the multidisciplinary management of obesity in PHC supports health promotion, prevention of complications and adherence to treatment. Furthermore, multidisciplinary action allows for personalized interventions, including lifestyle changes, emotional support and health education, contributing to better clinical outcomes and quality of life for patients.
