Introduction: The care of polytraumatized patients is a major challenge due to the complexity of the injuries and the need for rapid and coordinated interventions. Resulting from traffic accidents, falls and violence, these traumas have a high morbidity and mortality rate, requiring strategies beyond conventional treatment. Traditional protocols focus on hemodynamic stabilization and treatment of critical injuries, but can neglect psychological and social aspects. The integrative approach, which includes multiple specialties and considers the patient as a whole, is more favorable, offering better results, with shorter hospital stays, fewer complications and greater adherence to rehabilitation. Methodology: The study is an integrative and descriptive literature review. Using the PICo strategy, the research asks the question: “What is the impact of the integrative approach in the care of polytraumatized patients compared to the conventional approach on clinical prognosis?”. The methodology was organized into five stages. Data was collected from December 2024 to January 2025 from the LILACS, SciELO, PubMed and Scopus databases, resulting in 359 papers, of which 08 were selected. Results and Discussion: The integrative approach has shown significant improvements in clinical prognosis, reducing post-trauma complications and speeding up rehabilitation. Multidisciplinary care, combining physiotherapy, psychology and nutrition, is more effective than conventional methods, with shorter hospital stays and better physical and mental recovery. However, implementation faces challenges, such as the need for resources and team training. Conclusion: The integrative approach, which includes multidisciplinary practices and individualized support, meets physical, psychological and social needs, speeding up recovery and improving patients' quality of life.
