Abstract

Introduction: Malignant neoplasia of the renal pelvis is a clinically significant condition, particularly due to its impact on the prognosis of patients diagnosed late. The most common symptoms include macroscopic hematuria, present in up to 70% of cases, unilateral lower back pain, and obstructive symptoms such as hydronephrosis. Methodology: This study is characterized as a descriptive and analytical research with a quantitative approach, aiming to analyze deaths from renal pelvis neoplasia in Brazil between 2013 and 2023. Results: Between 2013 and 2023, 989 deaths from Malignant Neoplasia of the renal pelvis were recorded in Brazil. The Southeast region concentrated most cases (40.75%), with deaths predominantly male, representing 57.74%. Regarding ethnicity, the majority were white individuals (61.99%), and the most affected age group was 60 to 79 years old (54.71%). Conclusion: This study provided a comprehensive analysis of the epidemiological profile of deaths from Malignant Neoplasia of the Renal Pelvis in Brazil between 2013 and 2023, achieving the proposed objectives and broadening the understanding of regional and socioeconomic disparities related to the mortality of this condition.
