Abstract

The need for improved knowledge of occupational diseases' effects on workers' health and preventative and treatment strategies is highlighted by their rising prevalence. Through a review of pertinent research, this study intends to examine the prevalence and treatment strategies for occupational diseases, with a particular focus on musculoskeletal injuries, respiratory conditions, dermatitis, and mental problems. A review of prevalence studies was part of the methodology, including Johnson et al. (2019), which investigated respiratory disorders and preventive measures, and Ferreira et al. (2021), which reported musculoskeletal injuries in industrial settings. Additionally, Gonçalves (2022) and Smith (2021)'s articles were used to examine treatment techniques, with a focus on workplace management and physical therapy interventions to lower the incidence of these disorders. The findings show that programs emphasizing both preventive and specialist care could greatly lessen the effects of many illnesses, enhancing the quality of life for employees. It is determined that reducing health hazards at work requires comprehensive prevention methods backed by occupational health regulations.
