Pseudoarthrosis resulting from distal radius osteotomy is a rare but significant complication observed in the treatment of wrist diseases, such as Kienböck's Disease. Kienböck's Disease is characterized by avascular necrosis of the lunate bone, and distal radius osteotomy is a therapeutic option to relieve the overload on the affected bone, aiming to restore wrist function. However, failure in bone healing after surgery may lead to pseudoarthrosis, a complication that results in persistent pain and limited movement. Factors such as the surgical technique used, the severity of Kienböck's Disease, and adherence to the postoperative protocol directly influence the incidence of pseudoarthrosis. This study reviews the main risk factors, treatment options, and rehabilitation strategies to minimize this complication. Early intervention and the use of robust fixation techniques are crucial for preventing pseudoarthrosis and ensuring functional recovery of the wrist. Tailoring treatment to each patient's individual condition is also vital for the success of the procedure.
