Abstract

Introduction: This study discusses the experience of medical interns in a Family Health Unit, highlighting the importance of such an experience for medical learning in primary care, essential in the Brazilian SUS context and its policies. Methodology: A qualitative case report method was used, focusing on the activities of preceptors and the interns' learning based on subjective reflections without the need for formal consent. Results and Discussion: Clinical practice allowed theoretical application and activities such as prenatal care, childcare, general consultations, and home visits, essential for the interns' professional development. Conclusion: The report highlights the relevance of the internship in medical training and the positive impact on the community, reinforcing the effectiveness of primary care and aligning with the values of MCCP.
