Abstract

Preeclampsia is a serious pregnancy complication characterized by hypertension and damage to target organs, such as the kidneys and liver. This article provides a comprehensive review of the etiology, epidemiology, risk factors, placental abnormalities, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, classification, treatment, prognosis, and prevention strategies for preeclampsia. Current literature suggests that endothelial dysfunction and immunological factors play crucial roles in the development of this condition. Early identification and appropriate management are essential to minimize maternal and fetal risks. This study reviews the available evidence and proposes an integrated approach to the management of preeclampsia, aiming to improve maternal and neonatal outcomes.
